This is the first time so much effort has been put into a particular jailbreak. Big names like Pod2g, Planetbeing, Saurik and other well-known figures in the iOS jailbreak community worked hard to release the A5 untethered jailbreak. Recently, Greenpois0n Absinthe 0.3 was released which brought some bug fixes and stability. Here I would like to give credit to the Chronic Dev Team. Their Crash Reporter tool is still sending reports to their servers as they aim to achieve new heights in the jailbreaking world. They are an inspiration to other hackers.

A tweet from iOS hacker @pimskeks mentions that Absinthe v0.4 has been released for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. The update brings support for Mac OS X 10.5 (PPC+Intel)and bug fixes for Windows and Mac OS X users. We must say that Absinthe is providing a great jailbreaking experience as so many well-maintained updates are being released now and then to enhance the jailbreak.

This is the official changelog of the new release:

Mac: added support for OSX 10.5, PPC and Intel CPU

added consistency check on startup to make sure required files are in place

Windows: fixed bug in payload generator that might cause a crash
