We know iBooks faces bugs now and then. Recently, Corona 1.0.5 and Rednsn0w 0.9.10b4 were released to solve the iBooks crash issue. Another issue became apparent recently! Users were facing problems with books that had content protected by the Digital Rights Management (DRM). So Planetbeing is at it again, working on a new Corona update to fix this issue. Earlier we informedyou that Pod2g, a regular tweeter, mentioned that Corona v1.0.6 was soon be released publicly that is going to fix the DRM bug.Corona isn’t here yet. But the new version of redsn0w is. You heard it correctly! The iPhone Dev-Team has released Redsn0w 0.9.10b5 which brings a utility called “crazeles”. This utility solves the iBooks jailbreak detection which is the cause of 10% of images to show incorrectly. The new Redsn0w version will help those facing the DRM iBooks issue on iOS 5.0.1 after jailbreaking their A4 devices untethered.

Comex, the JailbreakMe creator released a similar fix back when iOS 4 was on the scene. The fix “hunnypot” released by him bypassed Apple’s device check whether the iDevice is jailbroken or not. But the return of the check would lead to problems as it would detect a jailbroken iDevice.
Users can install the fix by either re-running the new version over the existing jailbreak or wait for the new version of Corona to be released. If they choose the re-running option, they have to de-select Cydia when re-jailbreaking their iPhone/iPod Touch/ iPad (A4 only) with Redsn0w 0.9.10b5.
