Most of you might know by now. GreenPois0n Absinthe tool was released yesterday to jailbreak iPhone 4S/ iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1 untethered. But it was available for only Mac users until today. After the GreenPois0n Absinthe by the Chronic Dev Team, the iPhone Dev Team has released a new jailbreak tool called CLI (Command Link) for both Windows and Mac users. Details below!

Before starting, confirm that you have updated your device and created a backup to allow for restoration. The iPhone 4S can be jailbroken untethered on both iOS 5.0 and iOS 5.0.1 while the iPad 2 can be jailbroken untethered only on iOS 5.0.

Step By Step Tutorial To Jailbreak iPhone 4S (iOS 5.0/5.0.1)/ iPad 2 (iOS 5.0.1) untethered.

Step 1: Download the new CLI Absinthe tool for Mac and Windows from this link.

Step 2: The folder named cinject_0.4.3 should be unzipped into the system folder C:\.

Step 3: Head over to the Start Menu, click on Run and type cmd.exe in the bar.

Step 4: When the command window is open, type: CD C:\cinject_0.4.3 as shown in the image coming up after Step 5.

Step 5: Execute CLI by entering this command: cinject.exe -i payloads/jailbreak.mobileconfig.

Step 6: Wait for the backup after executing cinject.exe -j payloads.

Step 7: Now execute the command cinject.exe -w.

Step 8: Tap the Absinthe icon on your device to jailbreak in few minutes.

Some of you might face errors of different kinds. Those of you who face FATAL(_LINE_) error should go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content And Settings and then do the procedure all over again.
