Apple Goes Offensive With Galaxy Nexus’s LockScreen In A Patent Lawsuit (REPORT)

0
The fruit company has targeted the lockscreen on the Galaxy Nexus. The complain says that the Galaxy Nexus infringes Apple’s slide-to-unlock bar and has been once again filed in Germany. It is the first, not the last for sure, filed against the Android 4.0 flagship device.

Florian Mueller, FOSS Patent’s blogger described the slide-to-unlock utility model as a limited fast-track patent which can be filed with the traditional patents. Samsung’s mentioned a device from Sweden in their defense. The device known as Neonode managed to get a court in Netherlands to question the validity of the fruit company’s slide-to-unlock filing back in 2011.

The decision is expected on Mar. 16. More of these patent lawsuits are expected in 2012. We will keep you updated!
