Their wait is not over as the iOS hacker and developer @pimkeks, also a member of the Chronic-Dev Team, has tweeted that the Linux version of Absinthe is available for download to jailbreak iPhone 4S/ iPad 2 untethered.

This means you can jailbreak your iPhone 4S (iOS 5.0/iOS 5.0.1) and iPad 2 (iOS 5.0.1) untethered if you are running Linux operating system on your desktop/laptop.
